List of Job Websites

There are many opportunities for finding jobs online. I do not want to make a list here of job websites. Rather I want to talk about only a few effective job sites. To start with it is important to build an online social profile for employment purposes. Build profiles for yourself on Linkedin, the Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, My Space, and any other good social media site. Here are some things your website should contain:

1. Your skill set.

2. The desired job positions you hope to get.

3. Your life goals.

4. A general resume and cover letter.

5. Your contact info like a phone number, your website, and your email.

The next thing to do would be to check out some job sites for ideas like Craigslist and Job Hunt. Get an idea who is hiring. Also do not spend a lot of time on these sites.

Then use google to identify your industry. If you want to be an anthropologist for instance grab phone numbers of professional anthropologists off of google. Cold call these people. Travel there talk to them in person. People who do this simple step can save themselves a trillion hours hunting and pecking dead job sites on the Internet. The Internet has not replaced the need of face to face job wrangling skills which are the most important talents to have. Because of this work on your communication skills.

On a final note do not settle for less. If you always wanted to be a rock star or rapper go after that instead of merely settling for working at Mc Donalds. People will tell you that you will never make it. They are idiots. Follow your dreams.
