Realistic Job Goals
There is a reason behind the phrase Job Market. Basically when we are out for jobs the availabity of work and our ability to get it is directly related to market forces. We all know that it is easier getting a job in the medical profession, than as a folk musician for example. This has to do with the high demand for certified medical people. The medical industry is huge and is an ingrained part of society. Most people when they have issues try to solve it and if they can't they seek professional help. Major industries have more jobs period. But we must also consider lifestyle engineering. Life is short so what do you want to do during it for work? Where do your passions lie? Can you develop and monetize them while you work? These are questions that are important to consider. The best resources for work are all around us. We can even create our own jobs, that can lead to steady work. If you love to write poetry, than start a blog. The blog develops an interest, which leads to an internship and eventual job with a publishing company. This is the harsh reality that few people are hooked up in the working world. Most people must piece together and engineer a life for the long term. For example if you want to become a farmer, it may help to recreationally grow crops, develop the interest, meet with other farmers and grow into the job. Enjoying work is difficult but possible. Often when we seek the easy way out we are stuck at a typical 9 to 5 job that we hate, basically throwing away our lives into the rat race matrix. You are worth more than that so have respect for yourself. Put your desires first and you will find yourself working jobs that you like more. Sync with your soul.
